INFORMATION FOR GROUP LEADERS
AND WORKSHOP FACILITATORS
Thank you for your interest in Boswedden House
as a venue for workshops and retreats.
We like to prepare a package specific to each
individual group’s needs, but here is some standard information
that will be of use to you in your planning.
Accommodation
Group Space: We have one large room that can accommodate
20+ for a workshop or up to 50 for seminar purposes. The Sitting Room
is 6m x 4.75m (19’ 8” x 15’ 7”) and provides a
good space for smaller groups of up to 12. There are also two other smaller
reception rooms.
A flipchart stand & paper, DVD/video player
and camcorder are available.
Bedrooms: 4 large double/twin rooms (6’
double/3’ twin)
2 smaller double/twin rooms (5’ double/2’ 6” twin)
– one on ground floor
1 family room (double bed + full-size bunks that can be separated to
both be on floor)
2 single rooms
All 9 are en suite and have tea/coffee making
facilities.
If you need additional bed spaces, there are
adjacent self-catering cottages.
Our aim at Boswedden House is to provide a peaceful and comfortable environment
in which the body, soul and spirit can feel nurtured.
The standard of décor and furnishings is
good and all the bedrooms are centrally heated. In chilly weather we also
have open fires in the reception rooms. In season, the heated (approx
29° C) indoor swimming pool is very popular.
Alternative relaxation therapies are on offer
and are best booked in advance.
Tariff
We can provide Bed & Breakfast, Half Board,
or Full Board at the following rates:
B&B, per person per night: 1 night £35.00;
2 nights £32.00; 3+ nights £29.00
Dinner – 3 courses + coffee/tea £14
Lunch – 2 courses + coffee/tea £7
Packed lunch £3

Bookings, Deposits and Cancellations
If you would like to book please contact us to
check availability. We are happy to take a provisional booking from
you and give you first refusal on your dates while you make your preliminary
enquiries.
Once you are sure you want to go ahead we ask for a 25% deposit in order
to make your booking solid. A second deposit of 25% is due 60 days before
your arrival date. All deposits are non- returnable. The balance is
payable on the day of your departure.
If you have cancellations after you have booked
we will have to charge for the beds spaces but will make a deduction
for the meals not taken providing you give us 48 hours warning.
However if participants arrive late or leave early there will be no
reduction in cost. We can provide you with leaflets from a holiday insurance
company that is very affordable for you to pass on to participants if
you wish.
If you would like any more information or want
to talk about your particular group needs, do please get in touch. Out
of season, if you are able to bring a group of ten or more paying guests,
we can offer you a free place for the facilitator or you may wish to
negotiate a simpler package e.g. only two courses at dinner and a buffet
service for a lower price. We tailor our service to your needs.
